Now this was a critical juncture. I was outside. No longer confined to the requirements of indoor ponding, my sense of proportion and scale began to expand. Even though the balcony was only 4 feet by 15 feet overall, it was only a matter of time before this modest effort at moving water would no longer satisfy me, but just act as a constant reminder of what was possible if I actually could break ground.
