Linda has decided to get a swimming pool for the far end of the backyard, beyond the ponds. This means a fence. It also means another opportunity to be creative. We’re thinking about a lattice fence, something to provide safety for the pool without feeling boxed in and something to enhance the backyard experience. We’re back in the planning stage...........

Once again, the slope is an important consideration in designing the fence. I am starting to see a combination picket and lattice fence in the fog of my imagination.......

1/15/2002 Now that we’ve closed on the new house, we’re obviously not going to build a fence here at the old one. It would have been glorious though, and a great separation from our nasty neighbor to the south.
