In the mid 70's, I decided for a variety of reasons, to move to Detroit, Michigan. I often wonder what life would have been like if I hadn't asked Vick if she would come with me. There was never any doubt, of course. The only doubt was if she'd say ``Yes". Only years later did she tell me that there was no doubt for her either. |

So while I went to trade school in Detroit to learn the printing trade, we lived off the proceeds from the sale of her trailer. I promised her that in return, it would always be her decision to go to work or not. It was a promise I kept. So we set up housekeeping in a two family house off 6 Mile Rd near the University of Detroit. |

We transplanted our belongings and our cats. These two guys, PV (left) and Monkey, were eventually to accompany us throughout our travels until we finally landed in Rutherford, New Jersey. More about these travels in the ensuing pages. |
